Tradespeople and Contractors Benefits

Health and Safety Training

As an employer, it is primarily your responsibility to ensure your employees’ safety and provide them with a secure place of work. Ensuring your employees are trained well and aware of workplace safety procedures is critical, even more so if they are frequently exposed to hazardous work conditions. To fulfil your responsibility as an employer, ensure your employees register to WorkSafe Support and take our annual safety course.  Our Health and Safety Course makes certain contractor’s finished work meets the required safety standards to promote safe workplace practices.

Tradespeople Awards

At this time more than ever, it is important to recognise excellence in our workforce. WorkSafe continues to celebrate excellence within the construction industry, and it is time to reward the individuals and teams who go above and beyond. The annual awards for tradespeople have been created to honour professional tradespeople who dedicate their time to residential, commercial and industrial properties in the UK. It has been designed to highlight their achievements and daily commitment to safety, productivity, ingenuity and leadership.  The annual awards are here to help those individuals and teams, as well as other industry professionals appreciate their skills and contribution to the industry.

Contractor Awards

Every year we recognise community-minded contractors, innovative and successful contractors who implement outstanding safety programs. We recognise and reward good contractor performance based on their quality of installation, the scope of work, customer satisfaction and fast and fair processes. We use the information gathered through their quality assurance efforts to recognise contractors that deliver consistent, high-quality work.  Rewarding good contractor performance can help build trust, strengthen partnerships, and boost workforce morale.

Tradespeople Holiday Scheme

In today’s world, where everyone loves to travel and explore, and appreciate the ability to do so more freely, vacation perks become more and more critical for tradespeople and their families. Holidays have a profound effect on people’s mental health. Even a short holiday has positive effects, making tradespeople more motivated, creative and able to effectively manage their workload while and helping them remain focused on their tasks. We love to make our registered tradespeople happy, motivated and satisfied by providing all-inclusive holidays.

The Department for Levelling Up

The Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLUHC) established the Building Safety Programme  to make sure that buildings are safe, and that people feel safe both now and in the future.

The government banned combustible materials being used in the external walls of high-rise residential buildings of 18 metres and over. Following a review into the effectiveness, they are now consulting on extending the ban further, including lowering the 18-metre height threshold to 11 metres.

With the support of the local fire and rescue services as well as a panel of independent expert advisers, DLUHC is supporting building owners both in taking immediate measures to ensure their residents’ safety and in making further decisions on any necessary remedial work requirements.

This programme is currently working with housing providers, building owners, hospitals, schools and the construction industry, including an Industry Response Group
